Mother who killed her baby
An indictment was prepared for Fatma U., who killed her one-day-old baby by covering her mouth with a cloth and leaving her breathless in ADIYAMAN, demanding “aggravated life imprisonment”. In the indictment, which was accepted by the Adıyaman 1st High Criminal Court, it was noted that Fatma U. said she had a nervous disorder and that she had a seizure and regretted killing her baby at the same time.
Fatma U., who lives in Bahçecik District and whose husband is in prison, became pregnant with the person she had an affair with in March, and gave birth to a baby girl in Adıyaman Training and Research Hospital. Returning home after giving birth, Fatma U. killed her baby, whose mouth was covered with a cloth, leaving her breathless. Fatma U. then put the one-day-old baby in a bag and threw it in the trash. When Fatma U., who was called to the hospital with her baby for a heel blood scan, did not go, the hospital staff, who suspected the situation, reported to the police. Police teams went to Fatma U.’s house. However, when the baby was not found at home, Fatma U. was taken into custody. Fatma U. confessed that she strangled her one-day-old daughter and threw them away. After the confession, the police and constabulary teams searched the area where solid waste was dumped for 3 days with the order of the prosecutor’s office, but could not find the trace of the murdered baby. Fatma U., on the other hand, was arrested by the court to which she was brought to the courthouse after her interrogation.
